April 29th: Mother Jones Birthday Bash!

6pm-8pm @ The Mine Wars Museum in Matewan

We're teaming up with museums across the region on Saturday, April 28th, to celebrate Mother Jones' 180 Birthday! Join us for cake, party games, music, and a chance to explore the legacy of this incredible labor organizer.

We believe that Mother Jones' efforts in West Virginia has much to teach us about this moment in our country--about how the rich have pitted working people against each other to protect their own wealth, about how fights for our rights as Americans are won over decades and centuries, and about how it takes communities of people working together across difference to win and protect those rights.

What better way to dive into this history than a party for one of its heroes? Get ready for trivia, prizes, and some lessons from Mother Jones. We hope you'll join in for the fun. All ages are welcome! RSVP on facebook here.
