Meet our new Education Coordinator!
Help us give a warm welcome to our newest team member, Lloyd Tomlinson! Below is a special message from him, to you.
Greetings to the Members and patrons of the West Virginia Mine Wars Museum!
I am thrilled to be joining the Museum staff as the new Education Coordinator. I look forward to contributing to the museum through the design and creation of new educational programs, as well as assisting with the expansion and improvement of the great work that the West Virginia Mine Wars Museum is already doing.
As a labor historian and as someone who has called Central Appalachia “home” for my entire life, I believe that the story our Museum tells is a vital piece of American history. I also believe that, by preserving and learning from that history, we can blaze a trail into a future in which people power builds a better society. The work that the miners of West Virginia began over a century ago is far from over; it is up to us to carry their important lessons with us into the future. I look forward to seeing what we can build together.
In Solidarity,
Lloyd Tomlinson
Education Coordinator, West Virginia Mine Wars Museum
