Support the 20% Fund - Help Secure Our Museum's Permanent Home!

After nine years of sharing the stories of the West Virginia Mine Wars from a rented space, we now have a unique opportunity to create a permanent home for the Museum by buying the Cecil E. Roberts Building.

Matewan's very own UMWA Local 1440, the current building stewards, have agreed to hand us the keys once we have raised a down payment of 20% of the total building cost.

You can help make this dream a reality, ensuring the Museum's exhibits, education programs, and other work are celebrating and preserving the stories and contributions of working class people far into the future!

Will you join us in raising $27,000 by the end of May? Your contribution, no matter how small, will help us make the 20% down payment on our building and secure the permanent home for our Museum in the town where so much of this history took place, in Historic Matewan, West Virginia!
